My very first show lead was a hand-me-down from a friend who took pity on my cluelessness and newness to the show world. It was nylon, and I found it often would dig into my hand, which made showing rather painful--especially when trying to keep the head of a 200lb mastiff up!
When I needed to purchase an additional show lead for my second mastiff, I knew that I wanted something leather, and found via trial and error that one piece seemed to work best for me over a two piece lead and collar set.
I could not be more happy with this lead. It is very functional, easy on my hands, easy to hold, and easy to manage my dog with! I love it so much that I've purchased a second to replace the awful nylon lead I was using. We also already have plans for new leather collars for the dogs for Christmas! Lee Ann does excellent work, and I am now a lifelong devotee!
